After months of sudden bursts of inspiration, needle-felting and glue-gunning, I finally finished this Felt Bouquet centerpiece.🌹 It consists of 25 roses and optical fiber which glows in the dark. It's color can be changed with a remote. 🌸
Please welcome my new felt creations - stool cushions! 🌞 I've been working on these babes for months: composed the ceramic tiles, needle-felted, wet-felted, cut holes, made many mistakes and started all over again... Yet it was so worth it, because I really love how they turned out! 🌺 Now they are traveling to California to join a house/farm where the wool for these cushions came from. It's a circle of life, you know.

I haven't posted much art lately. 🐰 That's because I've been quite preoccupied with painting this little table. I decided to put real good thought into my workplace and surround myself with the most inspiring things - flowers, felt, ceramics, and a wooden "canvas" which is this table. With all my modesty, I love how it turned out! ✨It fits me perfectly in this place and time.
My felt obsession is back! Please welcome this Peony Lamp that I made out of raw wool and an Ikea lamp. I dyed white wool with avocado pits to get this pale pink color! 🐰

I painted this ceramic plate and am very happy with how it turned out! 🌸 The plate got fired at Disney's Beach Club Resort (my most favorite one) and I took some pics of it in the interior of the hotel. I wish I could live there! 😍

🌷 Please welcome my new "Mary Blair" stool.🌷
Mary Blair was a prominent Disney artist who introduced a modernist art style to animation. The speckles on this stool reminded me of her charming art. ✨ I made it out of sheep wool and reused ceramic tiles. I'm also super interested in making more stools like that, so drop me a line if you're interested in getting one or two. 🌸
One of my last felt projects in Orlando was this Magic Carpet. It's the biggest needle and wet-felted piece I've made so far, and it made me sweat for quite some hours. 😬✨ It flew to San Francisco with me and now lays under my desk, feeding me inspiration.
I've always been a huge admirer of blackletter calligraphy, so I finally decided to make some blacklettering of my own! Took me pretty much every evening of this week, but it was worth it.🌸 The line "We argue, we don't fight" is from "Metal & Dust", a song by my most favorite band London Grammar. That song really resonated with me after having an argument with my lovely boyfriend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as5FZJI6xJU

This project started as a simple retirement party invitation, but turned into a fully hand-drawn poster.

So, I painted a portrait of Brian and I! I discovered an amazing artist Jules de Balincourt, who's style I really liked, and decided to use a similar technique. It also reminds me of murals in the Mission, San Francisco, which is where we recently moved into. I had a lot of fun! 🎉 🐰
It's acrylic on a wooden panel.
🌺 Felting adventures continued! 🌺 Made this firm pillow which I called "Colors of the Wind".

The AnaFelt technique brings together sheep wool and ceramics tiles to create a unique line of home goods. Wool for this prototype was provided by a local farm in Northern California and is dyed naturally with avocado seeds, lemongrass, indigo, etc. The ceramic tiles came from scrap sources, thus reducing the load on landfill. I hope these pieces expand possibilities of wool application by bringing both wool and tiles together in a joyful duo.

I love drawing Plein Air watercolors of beautiful spots I visit. I aim at capturing light, architecture and overall atmosphere in those places, so that my drawings present an honest picture of how it felt to be there.
This pretty much illustrates my relationship with my boyfriend Brian. Flamingo & Watermelon are our nicknames. 🌺

🌺 Sooo I designed a T-shirt graphic today! 🌺 My intention was to make it eye-pleasing as well as thought-provoking. Can't wait to get it printed 🌌
We went on a very beautiful and very long hike and got very high on life. 🌄

Ever since I moved back to SF, my goal has been to decorate our apartment with the most meaningful and beautiful things. 🌷
These are pictures from the living room and my "work corner".
